1. Scope—This SAE Recomended Practice establishes uniform engineering nomenclature for wide base disc wheels and demountable rims. This nomenclature and accompanying figures are intended to definefundamental wide base disc wheels and demountable rim terms. The dimensions given are those necessaryto maintain serviceability and interchangeability of the wide base disc wheels and demountable rims withstandard hardware.

3. Definitions
3.1 Wide Base Disc Wheels and Demountable Rims—1 5° tubeless wheels and rims with a 1 9.5 and 22.5 rim diameter code with a rim width of 266.7 mm (1 0.50 in) or wider.
3.2 Basic Nomenclature—A detailed listing of basic nomenclature is contained in SAE J393. Figures 1 , 2, 3, and 4 introduce, illustrate, and specify new nomenclature and definitions. All dimensions are in millimeters followed by inches in parentheses.
