sG1.2 Scope
SG1.2.1 These requirements cover temporary non-refrigerated or heated displays used in retail establishment, including bakeries and restaurants. The products are used in accordance with the NationalElectrical Code,ANSI/NFPA 70.They are intended for dry location.These temporary displays includeboth electrified and non-electrified and may include, but not limited to:
a)Coupon Dispensers
b)Holiday Displays
o)Point of Purchase(POP) DisplayssG2 Definitions
SG2.1 TEMPORARY – Commercial Displays that will not be displayed for more than 90 days per theNational Electrical Code,ANSI/NFPA 70.
cONSTRUCTION
sG3 Protection Against Corrosion
SG3.1 Metal parts do not need protection against corrosion.
SG4 Receptacles
SG4.1 No receptacles above Class 2, LPS, or SELV limits shall be provided in a temporary commercial display.
SG5 Heaters
SG5.1 No heaters shall be provided in a temporary commercial display.
SG5 Flammability
SG5.1 Temporary displays do not need to meet flammability requirements, Section 26.
PERFORMANCE TESTS
SG6 Testing
SG6.1 Only the applicable tests from Part 1 need to be considered for temporary displays. The following tests in Table SG6.1 are anticipated would normally apply, but others may be necessary based on the construction of the commercial display.
