3 DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this Standard, the delinitions given in AS 2780 apply.
4 IDENTIFICATION MARKING
A code should be impressed on each brick, to indicate the basic dimensions and shape of brick, and amount of taper (if any), in accordance with the recommendations listed in Tables I to 3.
Example:
A rectangular brick measuring 230 mm x 115 mm x 75 mm ould he coded ‘135’, A side arch tapered brick of the same size, having a 3 mm taper. would be coded 135 Al’.
NOTE: For circle brkks, the internal diameter is included in the code, after the dimension and shape designation (see Table 8).
5 PREFERRED SIZES
The preferred nominal sizes of refractory bricks are given in Tables 4 to 10.
